Publication of the list of conference participants
This Privacy Policy explains how TGS Global SAS processes personal data in connection with this website (the “Website”), in particular the publication of the list of participants. It is provided in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the General Data Protection Regulation, “GDPR”) and the French Data Protection Act (Loi n° 78-17 of 6 January 1978 relating to information technology, data files and civil liberties, as amended). This policy is intended to apply, in identical terms, to the websites of the other events organised by TGS Global.
1. Data controller
The controller of the processing described in this policy is TGS Global SAS, a French company (société par actions simplifiée) whose registered office is located at 13-15 Rue de la Baume 75008 PARIS. registered under number 39540012000063 (“TGS”, “we” or “us”). 2. Scope of this policy
This policy concerns the processing of personal data of the individuals whose names appear on the Website as participants in the conference, namely the managers and representatives of the member firms of the TGS network, the speakers, and the prospective participants (prospects), as well as, more generally, visitors who consult the list. It does not replace any separate information provided at the time of registration or the cookie information available on the Website.
3. Personal data processed and sources
In the context of the published participant list, we process a limited set of professional identification data, namely the first name, the last name, the company or organisation, and the country. We publish only data relating to the professional activity of the persons concerned. We do not publish any contact details (such as personal email address or telephone number), any special categories of data within the meaning of Article 9 GDPR, or any data relating to the private life of the persons concerned. The data originates from the information communicated at the time of registration, from the data held within the TGS network in respect of the member firms and their representatives, and, for speakers, from the information provided in the context of their intervention.
4. Purposes and legal basis
The list of participants is published in order to present and promote the conference, to inform the participants and the professional community of the identity of those taking part, to facilitate professional networking among attendees, and to ensure the transparency of the event.
The legal basis for this processing is the legitimate interests pursued by TGS as organiser of the event, within the meaning of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
In accordance with the guidelines of the European Data Protection Board (Guidelines 1/2024 on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) and with the guidance of the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL), we have carried out a balancing assessment before relying on this basis. Our interest in promoting a professional networking event and in informing the professional community of its participants is real, present and clearly defined. The publication of a limited set of professional identification data is necessary and proportionate to that objective, and no less intrusive means would allow the same networking and transparency purpose to be achieved. Finally, the data concerned is of a professional nature and presents a limited risk, it relates to persons acting in a professional capacity, it corresponds to the reasonable expectations of the participants of a professional conference, it excludes any sensitive data and any contact details, and it is accompanied by appropriate safeguards, in particular clear information, data minimisation and an easily exercisable right to object. We consider, on this basis, that our legitimate interest is not overridden by the interests or the fundamental rights and freedoms of the persons concerned.
Because this processing is based on our legitimate interest, every person concerned has the right to object to the publication of their data at any time, on grounds relating to their particular situation, and to obtain, simply and free of charge, that their name no longer appears on the list, unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds which override their interests, rights and freedoms.
5. Recipients of the data
The list of participants is published on the Website and is, as a result, accessible to the visitors of the Website. Internally, the data is accessible only to the members of TGS staff who need it in order to organise the event. The technical provider that designs and hosts the Website acts as a processor on behalf of TGS, under a contract that complies with Article 28 GDPR. We do not sell personal data and we do not transfer it to third parties for their own purposes.
6. Retention period
The list of participants remains online for the period necessary to present and promote the event, after which it is removed from the Website or archived in a form that is no longer publicly accessible. The name of any person who objects to the publication or requests its removal is withdrawn without undue delay.
7. Your rights
In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right to obtain access to the personal data we hold about you and to request its rectification where it is inaccurate or incomplete. You have the right to obtain the erasure of your data and the restriction of its processing, within the limits provided for by law, as well as, where applicable, the right to the portability of the data you have provided. As the publication is based on our legitimate interest, you have in particular the right to object at any time to the processing of your data, in which case your name is removed from the published list unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds. Where any processing is based on your consent, you also have the right to withdraw that consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out before the withdrawal.

We respond within one month of receipt of the request, a period that may be extended by two further months for complex requests, and we may ask you to provide reasonable evidence of your identity. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés (CNIL), 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France (www.cnil.fr), or with the supervisory authority of the Member State of your residence or place of work.
8. Data security
In accordance with Article 32 GDPR, we implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure of, or access to that data. These measures include, in particular, the encrypted transmission of communications through the HTTPS protocol, the limitation of access to the data to the persons who need it, and the contractual framing of our processors.
9. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated in order to reflect changes in our practices or in the applicable legislation. The version in force is available at all times on the Website.
